Each preset is a real engine configuration, and each one's Elo was measured by playing it against the others tens of thousands of times. When you beat Veteran, you beat something that is genuinely 1,285.

A trainer is only worth as much as the advice it gives, so every figure in the app traces back to something computed rather than estimated.
